Window decor: getting inspired together

Curtains are the most important textile component in a home. If the window in the room is compared to the eyes on the face, then its decor is like “make-up”, which can beautify the “face”, and maybe vice versa. Does the window always need to be accentuated?

With good minimalist architecture, an interesting space that I want to emphasize, the curtains should be as calm as possible, perhaps even in the color of the walls. When, in architectural terms, there is nothing to boast of, and in our homes this is most often the case, it is better to hang something noticeable on the window.
The stylish lounge on the ground floor is named Blue Paradise. “It’s located next to the grand living room, so I envisioned this space as a more intimate, mood-setting relaxation room,” says Peter Dunham, Peter Dunham Design. The bright color and ornamentation on the curtains draws attention to the window and distracts from everything else. For a large ornament as a companion, choose something monochromatic or striped, then the fabrics will not argue with each other. The more complex the fabric, the easier it should be. Conversely, the beauty of plain linen is picked up by the rhythm of the folds. So decide whether to buy a hundred meters of flax or ten – brocade. Both can be beautiful.
The more expensive, beautiful, luxurious the fabric, the denser it is, the simpler the style of the curtain should be. Especially if there is a large pattern on the fabric. The lightest curtains are shown to small rooms – choose plastic fabrics, those that drape well.
